Why, sure, nobody would "dream" of boing to Madison, Columbus, Charlottesville, for their education, would they? Isn't N.Y.U. really Vasser x 100? So what's the big deal to Mainstream

Don't even get me started on the socially-bankrupt Ivy schools, which, even today with their proclaimed ethnic diversity still come across as a bunch of snotty, elitist brain-frying centers. The REAL America looks for a school with a great social scene (hey, with ATHLETIC TEAMS, big arenas, major league atmosphere -- WHAT A CONCEPT!), fraternities/sororities, college hangouts, and a vibrant, excited alumni base across the land. Does N.Y.U. come remotely close to having this? Do the Ivies? Hey, whoever came up with this brilliance might want to get out a little more often. Ohh, right, The Princeton Review. Remember the middle word in this -- it's key. Lots of free advertising for the Ivies. Meanwhile, you get a ton of Ivy-equivalent educational opportunities in schools like Notre Dame, Boston College, Villanova, Holy Cross, Northwestern, Stanford, Vandy, Duke, Rice, etc. The private schools with public appeal. Vive le difference. Maybe try to get a bit more of an authentic snapshot at the Real America next time.

NYU offers some programs that Ivys do not. Their undergrad theatre program is FAR superior to any of the IVYs and their Graduate program is in the same running with Yale.
