Sex Week at Yale

Filed in archive Campus Life by Greg Cruey on February 14, 2008

IvyGate pointed out last week that Sex Week was coming to Yale this week. Valentine's Day seemed like as good a time as any to mention it....

There's been a fascinating schedule of speakers and events. Monday was on relationships and Dr. Ruth spoke on campus.

Tuesday's theme was "What a Girl Wants." The day started with sexologist Logan Levkoff talking about the female orgasmlinks. Then there were sex toys for everyone.

Wednesday was devoted to the art of seduction. Tonight is dedicated to love, since it's Valentine's Day, I guess.

Sex Week at Yale

The calendar of events actually runs through Monday, February 18th.

To say that Sex Week at Yale is controversial is a gross understatement. The Abstinence Clearinghouse Blog is a good example of Conservative sentiment about the event:
As soon as we heard word of this campus event, The Abstinence Clearinghouse had several pro-abstinence t-shirts sent to Yale students who opposed such a low-class campus event. We encourage those students to continue living as an example to your peers and classmates who are trying to figure out what priorities they value most in life.
They did give a plug, though, to pro-abstinence speak Dawn Eden, who will be at the event.
