The Happiest College... 2008 Princeton Review

Believe it or not, the Princeton Review ranks colleges on how happy students are. The winner? Students at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, were the nation's happiest. And why not? The smallish, private college has a 10:1 student faculty ratio, an average GPA of 4.0, and only about 1,450 students on campus.

Perhaps you've heard of some of the other colleges and universities in the top ten for student happiness...

The Happiest College... 2008 Princeton Review

Brown, Clemson, Princeton, and Stanford ranked second thru fifth on the list of happiest college students. Sixth thru tenth was the University of Tulsa, the College of New Jersey, Bowdoin College, Yale, and Thomas Aquinas College in California. Also in the top 20 were the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (13), BYU (14), and Notre Dame (20).

At the other end of the spectrum, students at the State University of New York in Stony Brook were the least happy kids in America at the college level. The University of Hawaii at Manoa, Fisk University, Tuskegee University, the University of California-Riverside, Drexel University, Hofstra University, and Case Western Reserve University all were among school in the bottom 20 for the happiness factor...
