Greg Cruey (128 articles)
My name is Greg Cruey. I am an educator, journalist, Asia buff and avid China watcher who has lived on four continents and in 14 times zones.
In the past 25 years I have worked in education, educational fund raising and grant writing, community development, economic development, journalism, population studies, and teaching in a variety of public and private settings in Asia, parts of the Pacific, and in rural Appalachia. My work as a journalist has included everything from being a beat reporter for a daily to working as editor-in-chief of a small college paper. I have been blogging and writing online for over a decade now.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from Augusta State University. My undergraduate degree covered a broad spectrum of the social sciences. I studied foreign languages and general linguistics at the Australian National University where I was awarded a graduate diploma (with merit). I earned my Master's degree from Marshall University.

Rhys Alexander (142 articles)
My name is Rhys Alexander. I am a Professor of Composition and Literature, and teach at both a four-year university and a community college. This has allowed me to experience a wide diversity of students, ranging in age from 16 to 81. I love teaching but know that academia is not perfect; one goal I have for this blog is to help professionals improve their working experience. I am a fierce advocate for both teachers and students rights, and am co-founder of a university adjunct union. I manage and/or write for nearly a dozen blogs on leading networks, including Literally Blogging a salute to classic literature. I am fortunate enough to be able to share two passions with you here at Creative Weblogging. My family’s history of diabetes, along with my lifelong interest in science, led me to earn a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Physiology, where I researched diabetes extensively. I am now able to share what I learned and what I am still finding out. It is my greatest wish that I am able to help others out there who live with this disease every day, and who strive to make their lives as wonderful as they possibly can be. I am honored to be able to share my passions with you, and for you to share yours with me.
